Celebrate the beauty of traditional Indian craftsmanship with Mrinalika, a graceful white Kantha hand embroidered cotton saree inspired by the rich textile heritage of Bengal. Handcrafted by skilled artisans, this Bengal Kantha embroidery saree features delicate multicolour running stitches that create elegant floral vines, paisley motifs, and folk-inspired patterns across the fabric.

Kantha embroidery is one of India’s most celebrated heritage crafts, where artisans patiently stitch thousands of tiny running stitches to form intricate designs. This handmade Kantha cotton saree beautifully reflects the artistry of rural Bengal, turning a simple cotton drape into a piece of wearable art.

The pristine white base highlights the vibrant embroidery while the refreshing teal border adds a subtle yet sophisticated contrast. The artistic pallu features a traditional paisley motif framed by delicate foliage embroidery, making this hand embroidered cotton saree both elegant and culturally rich.

Crafted from breathable pure cotton, this lightweight Kantha cotton saree is ideal for warm climates and perfect for office wear, cultural gatherings, festive mornings, travel, or everyday elegance. Its soft texture ensures comfort while the handcrafted embroidery brings timeless charm.

Part of Kleemkaara’s Heritage Handloom Collection, Mrinalika celebrates sustainable fashion, artisan craftsmanship, and authentic Indian handloom sarees. Each saree carries slight variations in embroidery, making every piece unique and truly handcrafted.

First Wash
Add a handful of non-iodised salt to cold water and soak your saree for 20–30 minutes before the first wash. This locks the dye into the fabric. If some colour bleeds into the water — don't worry, that is simply excess dye releasing, a natural trait of plant-based and natural dyes. Proceed with hand wash or a gentle machine cycle after soaking.
Hand Wash
Gently hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent or raw shikakai/soap nut solution.
Machine Wash
If machine washing, set to Gentle or Delicate mode with low spin. Place the saree in a mesh laundry bag for added protection.
Wash Separately
Wash dark and bright colours separately for the first 2–3 washes to prevent colour transfer.
No Wringing
Do not twist or wring. Gently press out excess water and roll the saree in a soft dry towel to absorb moisture.
Dry in Shade
Always dry in shade, away from direct sunlight. Direct sun can fade natural dyes and weaken silk threads over time.
Steam Iron or Low Heat
Iron on low to medium heat on the reverse side. For silk sarees, place a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric. Avoid steam on zari or metallic borders.
Dry Clean for Special Weaves
Pure silk, heavy zari work, and festival sarees are best dry cleaned to preserve their lustre and structure.
Storage
Fold along the original fold lines and store in a muslin cloth — never plastic. Refold every few months to avoid permanent crease marks. Tuck in a neem leaf or herbal sachet to naturally deter insects.
Natural fibres breathe, age, and tell stories — a little care keeps them alive for generations.
