Celebrate the grandeur of South Indian weaving traditions with Aayiramgriva, a resplendent pink Aayiram Butta handloom Kanchi silk cotton saree embellished with the legendary Gandabherunda Pakshi motifs. Handwoven in the looms of Kanchipuram, this saree carries centuries of artistry and symbolism in every thread.

"Aayiram Butta" literally translates to "a thousand motifs". This iconic design tradition is one of Tamilnadu’s most celebrated weaves, where countless motifs are intricately handwoven across the saree, symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and auspiciousness. It reflects the patience, precision, and dedication of master artisans who uphold this living heritage.

The Gandabherunda is a mythical two-headed eagle rooted in Indian mythology. Known to represent immense strength, courage, and resilience, this motif brings the wearer protection and a sense of regal confidence. To drape Aayiramgriva is to embrace not just elegance, but also the symbolic blessings of this divine bird.

Part of Kleemkaara’s Heritage Weaves Collection, Aayiramgriva embodies the philosophy of slow fashion, sustainable living, and the timeless beauty of Indian handlooms.

First Wash
Add a handful of non-iodised salt to cold water and soak your saree for 20–30 minutes before the first wash. This locks the dye into the fabric. If some colour bleeds into the water — don't worry, that is simply excess dye releasing, a natural trait of plant-based and natural dyes. Proceed with hand wash or a gentle machine cycle after soaking.
Hand Wash
Gently hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent or raw shikakai/soap nut solution.
Machine Wash
If machine washing, set to Gentle or Delicate mode with low spin. Place the saree in a mesh laundry bag for added protection.
Wash Separately
Wash dark and bright colours separately for the first 2–3 washes to prevent colour transfer.
No Wringing
Do not twist or wring. Gently press out excess water and roll the saree in a soft dry towel to absorb moisture.
Dry in Shade
Always dry in shade, away from direct sunlight. Direct sun can fade natural dyes and weaken silk threads over time.
Steam Iron or Low Heat
Iron on low to medium heat on the reverse side. For silk sarees, place a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric. Avoid steam on zari or metallic borders.
Dry Clean for Special Weaves
Pure silk, heavy zari work, and festival sarees are best dry cleaned to preserve their lustre and structure.
Storage
Fold along the original fold lines and store in a muslin cloth — never plastic. Refold every few months to avoid permanent crease marks. Tuck in a neem leaf or herbal sachet to naturally deter insects.
Natural fibres breathe, age, and tell stories — a little care keeps them alive for generations.

Orders are processed and shipped the next working day. Delivery takes 2–7 working days depending on your location.
